Hi guys,
I've just bought a 3SGE powered ST162 Celica today. I also bought another 3SFE powered ST162 off a friend of mine (this one has a blown engine), that's right, two celicas in one day!
Now the 3SGE doesn't seem to be any faster than my friends old 3SFE before it exploded, and it doesn't seem to want to pull all the way to redline. Here's my planned service for later this week is
1. New 10w30 oil and oil filter
2. New Air Filter (stock replacement)
3. New spark plugs
I've topped up the power steering fluid and checked the current oil level and it's good.
Now, what other things can i check that might need replacing, this is a daily driver cheap/reliable kind of car, so i'm not wanting to do anything that costs alot of money unless i have to. Remember that i have a spare 3SFE laying around.
I remember from owning my ST184 a while ago that people suggested checking the 02 sensor, how do i do this? I figure that it would be a swap job if it was broken, but how do i know? What other things should i check?
Also, any other general maintance tips for the engine or the car? I run it on BP Ultimate (98 Octane) and oil change every 5,000 km's.
Thanks for any help guys, celica's rule!
