4age head swap: big port -> small port Sun, 28 August 2005 11:44 Go to previous message
i own a ae82 with a 4age and on sat i got the terrible news that my big port (86kw) head is cracked. i called up toyospares and they said its $240 for another head, and that the big port, small port and 20V are all the same price.
i know the 20v wont fit cos of the pistons(mine 4 grooves instead of 5).

what i want to know is, if a small port(100kw) head will simply bolt straight onto my block.
will i need another ecu? if so will a after market ecu or piggy back chip do the job? and which one you guys recommend.
will i need to get a different wireing loom?

thanks.
