SV21 Camry and Holden Apollo Autos

Hi,
I am posting for a mate who is putting a manual motor out of SV21 into an auto Apollo.
He is having trouble with the flywheel and flexplate fitting from the apollo onto the camry engine. One has 6 holes and the other has 8. I have not looked at the cars but I think maybe the Apollo used a different auto trans than camry.
Can anyone comfirm this? and has anyone had this problem before... any recommended solutions.
