1. "T" series T50 bolt on to "A" series block with "A" type bell housing. (may face problem, see below)
2. input shaft bearing 68mm vs 62mm. To identify them: T50 with 62mm bearing have round nose cone cover; T50 with 68mm bearing have square nose cone cover.
(some "T" T50 came with 62mm input shaft bearing, some with 68mm like the "A" T50. Using T50 with 62mm bearing with "A" bell housing will give oil leak)
3. "A" with 22-spline and "T" with 20-spline/22-spline output shaft.
(i've personally seen a 2T T50 and it got 22spline output shaft)
4. some "T" T50 have shorter shifter position while all "A" T50 have longer shifter position.
Things i'm not sure about:
older "T" series T50 = shorter shifter position = 20spline output shaft = 62mm input shaft bearing = will face OIL LEAK if used with "A" bell housing
Newer "T" series T50 = longer shifter position = 22spline output shaft = 68mm input shaft bearing = "A" series T50 (only different is the bell housing)
anyone can get me clear on this?
is there anyone who used the T50 with shorter shifter position on 4ag? was the output shaft havin 20-spline? any oil leak from bell housing after using it on 4ag with "A" bell housing?
and also, anyone seen any "T" T50 with everything similar to "A" T50 other than the different bell housing?
