 mk2 Supra Question

hi,
i'm thinking of buying an old mk2 supra (MA60) and i got a few questions...
these only came with the 5M-E engine in australia right? and what is the availability of other engines such as the 5M-GE or 6M-GE like? do these engines have the same head gasket problem that i've heard about with the 7M engines?
what sort of price should i be paying for an MA60, as i've seen some advertised for as much as $9000, which is almost as much as a mk3 supra, and this doesnt seem right to me.
