What does cam LIFT do for performance? Sun, 13 November 2005 11:55 Go to previous message
Hi Peoples,

I am wanting to know what changeing the lift of the cam will do? When you change duration --> more overlap -->less torque and so on and no one seems to mention LIFT, WHY?
If you had a 2 sets of 256 cams, one at 7.1 and the other at 8.1 lift what will this do? Will a 256 8.1 lift cam have more power than say a 288 7.1 lift cam but at a different RPM?

Thanks,

TY
