you should only have to take the face part off.
take out ask tray, theres 2 screws in there.
and another 2 screw that screw upwards above the ac controls.
then pull the face off.

if you want to take the whole surround off (you dont need to do this to change a deck):
2 screws either side of trans tunnel
1 or 2 screws behind glove box
2 screws behind platic bit beneath steering wheel.
i think thats all. but as i said, you should only have to take off the face.
