Is there any difference's between the cams in a MA70 (7MGTE) turbo Supra and a MA70 (7MGTE) Group A turbo Supra? I have heard that the group A's have more duration? Can anyone shed some light on this????

About 20 degress more duration - 220 & 221. Lift is identical at 7.44mm.

Group A race cams, depending on spec vary a little - I had the 256I/243E 10.88mm lift units, a close mate has the 288 spec units, same lift @ 10.88mm.

Yep, 50 thou.

The factory units are 200 and 201 @ 50 thou - those are the numbers that were given to me when I had them compared to the TRD units.

The factory units still run pathetic lift - 7.44mm from memory.

hmmm, ok

this is what i got off mine - youd get about 200deg @ say 30 thou, but 50thou is more like 160... a really really pointy, crappy profile...

So the Turbo A cams are alot better in performance wise? I wouldn't have to modify the head at all to fit them?

Talk about dragging up something from the dead, Ed & Stenno, apart from duration, is there any way to phyically tell the cams as different to any others ?

Any markings etc ?

Cheers
