My 85 1G-RA65	Wed, 15 May 2002 02:04

Max inspired me to do this conversion... 1985 RA65 2.4XT Converted to: Engine bay 2 litre twin turbo straight six (1G-GTE) Simoni pod filter cold air induction kit (homemade) Lightened flywheel VL turbo pre-pump VL turbo external pump (to run surge tank) Exhaust 3" mandrel bent exhaust Suspension Rear lowered 1.5" with Jumboz springs and KYB front strut inserts Front lowered 1" with Jumboz springs and KYB rear shocks Paint 2 pak black + purple pearl Wheels stock MA61 14x7 rims (to spray silver) Stereo stock Dyno yet to do Kills to date Pulsar SSS 200 SX (S14) Rex (old) VT SS Commodore Almost myself ! Rice - fications After my recent accident, the ball has been set rolling earlier than expected. The Celica will undergo major surgery and will get: New paint job (silver, WRX Rally blue, Maroon or Black.. hmm) 17" rims Interior Posting pics soon ......... keep watching this page ... UPDATE !! 18 November 2002 Interior is back in Door back on Bonnet has been paint stripped, next week will do roof and rest of car Have decided to paint it black with violet pearl Goddam its almost done !! [Report message to a moderator]

8 December 2002 Paint stripped, sanded and primered hatch, roof and bonnet... covered up badge holes and key lock on hatch... now how do i open the boot ? Still to do: 1 Strip and primer 2 x doors 2 x quarters front 2 x quarters back 2 fix door handle, hook is off. 3 Paint it ? 21 July 2003 Fuel Helper System In addition to the internal pump (original) we have put a fuel filter and run tho hose into an external VL turbo fuel pump. This should take care of all fuel requirements ! [Report message to a moderator]

Taking longer than expected ... of course 7 February 2004 (update) 1) Engine bay has been sprayed 2) Under Bonnet has been edged out 3) Doors have been edged out 4) Body has been sanded with 180, fine filled, rust removed and re-primered Not long to go - body gets sprayed next weekend ..
